While trying to make the split bamboo pieces shorter so they don’t stick so far off the end of my fingers, I had a lot of problems with them splitting completely in half. I tried using this adjustable metal band to hold it together, which worked well. Except that it held too tight to get my finger in properly. I tried a few more variations of this, as well as zip ties, but couldn’t get it to work.
